First steps- the intro

Once you’ve decided you want to get into the best shape of your life and be a part of a community of like-minded people, it’s time to book a Student Consultation/Intro to Fundamentals. Do it right, one-on-one, 90-minute free intro session where you’ll get started by meeting your personal coach.
First, your coach will explain our fitness methodology, as well as CrossFit North Okanagans' application of functional fitness, which is based on the MadLab Group’s system. Your coach will then look at your fitness strengths and limitations and evaluate your current level of fitness.

FUNDAMENTALS

After your fitness assessment, you will begin one-on-one personal training sessions with your coach. During these sessions, you will learn 35 to 40 key movements. You will build strength, speed, power, stamina. You will learn about proper warm-ups, mobility and recovery. You will develop better body awareness and will learn about injury-prevention. You will also tackle your diet, nutrition, and will work with your coach to discover the best fuel for your individual needs. You will set short and long-term goals and commit to a plan to achieve them. After 15 to 20 sessions, you will be ready to graduate to group classes.
